Important note: As requirements for emergency escape routes (e.g. a railing height of 110 cm or maximum spacing between bars) may vary according to local building regulations, compliance with the specific fire safety requirements at the installation site must be verified. Our flexible configuration options (e.g. railings with 6 bars) help meet these requirements.
Thanks to industrial hot-dip galvanizing, we guarantee an exceptionally long service life. This process creates a protective metallic coating that protects the steel staircase against corrosion for more than 40 years. Unlike conventional painted finishes, this protection is maintenance-free and eliminates the need for repainting for many decades – even under aggressive environmental conditions or when de-icing salt is used in winter.
To ensure structural stability and protection against frost heave, the foundation at the bottom of the staircase must be at least 80–100 cm deep (depending on the altitude and local frost depth). A properly constructed concrete foundation prevents the structure from being lifted by freezing water in the ground and ensures long-term, secure anchoring of the staircase.
